The ILS mission statement
ILS - Integrity, passion, language
"The limits of my language are the limits of my world."
-Ludwig Wittgenstein
International Language School
This quote has been a kind of motto for our school since the beginning of the ILS. At ILS, we are convinced that language is not just a means of communication, but goes far beyond that. We deeply welcome and value cultural diversity and want to enable people to experience the beauty of our differences in the form of language and culture. Our actions are geared towards supporting adults and children in particular linguistically and thus culturally, while at the same time encouraging and supporting lifelong learning.
The ILS is therefore based on the following guiding principles:
- We take your individual needs into account.
- We look after you personally and professionally.
- We maintain a pleasant school and learning atmosphere.
- We attach great importance to putting what we have learned into practice in everyday life.
- We offer varied and practice-oriented learning.
- We create and guarantee a high quality of teaching.
- We promote and foster cultural diversity.
The andragogical principles of the ILS
The andragogical principles that the ILS lives by are as follows:
