The International Language School (ILS) helps clients learn over 40 languages. At our locations in Bern, Basel, Zurich, Solothurn and Aarau, we offer a variety of different courses in German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and many more. Specializing in the teaching of foreign languages, we support adults, young people and corporate clients in language acquisition and regularly conduct language examinations in our institutes.
We are looking for reliable German language course instructors for our location at ILS-Bern with immediate effect or by arrangement. High-quality teaching and a personal relationship with our customers are what set us apart and should be your top priority.
German language course instructor on an hourly basis, starting immediately
Your tasks
- Planning and implementation of language courses with adults at levels A1-C1
- Preparation and follow-up of your own lessons
- Coordination of courses with the secretariat and management
- Participation in team meetings
Your profile
- Experienced language teacher, student or PH student with a specialization subject
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in the respective language and very good knowledge of at least one other language
- Very good knowledge of one Swiss national language
- Experience in teaching groups
- Flexible in terms of time, uncomplicated, reliable and committed

From February 2023, we will be expanding our range and offering the AdA ZA-DL, Trainer module "Conducting learning events with groups of adults" from SVEB . For our locations ILS-Bern/Basel/Aarau/Zurich we are looking for reliable and motivated course instructors for Module 1 SVEB-Certificate Instructor. High-quality teaching and a personal relationship with our customers are what set us apart and should be your top priority.
Tasks and activities:
- Planning and implementation of the course Module 1 SVEB-Certificate Trainer with adults on site and as an online course via Zoom
- Preparation and follow-up of your own lessons
- Coordination of courses with the secretariat and management
Requirements and prerequisites:
- Enjoy teaching and adult education
- Reliability and an independent way of working
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in the respective language and very good knowledge of at least one other language
- Good knowledge of Zoom and online learning tools
- Completion of initial training
- Further training of at least 500-600 hours, e.g. in the areas of personnel, leadership, consulting, project management or didactics of adult education
- At least 500 hours and at least five years' experience in adult education with as diverse a target audience as possible
In addition, one of the two qualifications in adult education must be available: - Qualification in adult education at level 3, e.g. diploma in training management, diploma in adult education HF, degree in adult education or education management
or
- Subject-relevant university/university of applied sciences degree, e.g. degree in education, psychology, sociology, primary/secondary school teacher's diploma and an andragogical qualification at level 2, i.e. the federal certificate for trainers

Language school in Bern, Basel, Zurich and Aarau is looking for sign language teachers
The International Language School is a language school with four locations in Bern, Basel, Zurich and Aarau. We offer language courses in over 40 languages in group and private courses. Due to high demand, we would like to expand our team and are looking for more people who would like to teach sign language.
What you should bring:
- You have an excellent command of Swiss German sign language
